Restoration Update

Share
Wednesday, September 06, 2017

Since yesterday morning, we restored nearly 3,100 Texas customers, leaving approximately 14,350 still without power of the 192,000 affected by the storm.

Approximately 2,000 customers served by the Mayhaw Vidor Substation in the Viway area will undergo a six-hour outage today beginning at 10 a.m. We will be adding a transformer and related infrastructure that will bring other customers online as much as five days earlier than anticipated. We apologize for the inconvenience and appreciate your patience as we continue our restoration efforts.

Mobile Substation Updates:

  • Amelia substation customers in Beaumont will be powered by a mobile substation from Entergy Mississippi by the end of the day today.
  • Bevil substation customers in Beaumont will be powered by a mobile substation from Cleco beginning Sept. 7.
  • McDonald substation in Hardin County will receive a mobile unit from Oncor, and customers will begin receiving power by late today.
  • Vidor substation in Vidor will be powered by a mobile substation from Washington St. Tammany Electric Coop, beginning Sept. 7.
  • An additional transformer is being added to another station that will power customers in Rose City beginning Sept. 8. This solution will allow us to make connections more quickly and place the Entergy Louisiana mobile substation on standby.
