Update: Donaldsonville Area Restoration
|Wednesday, February 08, 2017
Electricity is expected to be restored by tonight for the majority of the remaining 750 customers who can take power in the Donaldsonville area.
As of 10:30 a.m. today, power had been restored to approximately 3,500 customers in Ascension and St. James parishes affected by Tuesday’s violent storms that spawned multiple tornadoes across south Louisiana.
Nearly 100 personnel are working today to restore power to the remaining customers in the Donaldsonville area. The storm team includes an additional 50 workers brought in from other areas to assist in the effort.
At the height of Tuesday’s violent weather, nearly 4,300 customers lost power in the Ascension-St. James area. Damage assessment is continuing, but preliminary estimates are at least 45 poles were broken or damaged Tuesday.
Customers who are signed up for outage text alerts, have sustained damage to their homes and wish to stop receiving updates until repairs are made should text ‘pause’ to 368374 to stop the text messages and text ‘resume’ when they again want to receive outage alert text messages.
Customers who sustained extensive damage to their home or business should call Entergy to confirm billing dates, current billing addresses or make payment arrangements, or visit the myAccount section of entergy.com.
